"Not just good times, but great times!"
That's what we had at our stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells. We have stayed there multiple times and we just keep going back...and here's some reasons why:
Great Wolf Lodge does not sell outside waterpark passes to the general public. That means you are not going to find hoards of rowdy teens left on their own. Everyone there enjoying the waterpark are guests at the Lodge.
Safety is an important issue for me and I appreciate the constant, watchful eyes of the lifeguards.
We have a 13 year old, an 8 year old and a 2 year old...there is something fun for all of them. There is the Howling Tornado and body racers for the older set and plenty of kiddie rides and areas to splash in for the young ones. They have a wave pool where the waves start every 15 minutes to the sound of a wolf's howl. How fun is that? They have lots of water slides and a giant bucket that pours 1,000 gallons of water on you if you dare. In the summer, they have a great outdoor waterpark too. Best thing to do is rent a poolside cabana and enjoy your own private sanctuary with fridge and flat screen tv...great for a little rest & relaxation for you and the little ones, while the older ones are still wanting to swim and play with Dad.
The food is great in the Loose Moose and treats are yummy in the cafe...they even serve Starbuck's there!
Evenings include the animated Clocktower show in the lobby followed by storytime with Wiley.
We even treated our girls to an afternoon at Scoops, Great Wolf's in-house, kid-only spa, where they were pampered with ice cream scented pedicures! While, they were treated, I was too. I got my pedicure at their adult Aveda spa - Elements.
I can't leave out Wiley's Woods and Cub Club, two great non water venues at the Lodge. My children enjoyed doing some crafts in the Club and then playing in the 3 (or maybe it's 4) story treehouse at Wiley's Woods, complete with slides, climbing ropes and colorful foam balls flying around. Dad had just as much fun shooting the balls out of the air guns as the kids did.
Just one hint, go during the week when it's a less crowded. Enjoy some fun at Great Wolf Lodge - Wisconsin Dells and make your reservations today!
